Our Matcha — Where It Comes From
Our matcha is grown at dedicated tea estates in Son La Province, Vietnam — a high-altitude region with a cool climate and fertile soil ideal for growing green tea. These estates are managed by Satoen Vietnam under the direct supervision of Satoen Japan, using very traditional
Japanese cultivation methods that have been refined over generations.
Every harvest goes through strict quality control processes modelled on Japanese standards — from shade-growing the tea plants before harvest, to stone-grinding the dried leaves into fine powder.
The result is matcha that is authentically Japanese in quality, character, and flavour, while being produced sustainably in Southeast Asia.
Our Product Range
We offer three grades of matcha to suit different needs:
Special Grade — Harvested in Summer and Autumn. Jade green colour with a natural and balanced flavour. Perfect for everyday drinking. Available in 100g and 200g.
Premium Grade — Harvested in Spring, the finest season for green tea. Naturally sweeter and smoother than Special grade — the comparable quality used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. Reserved for those who want the very best matcha experience. Available in 100g and 200g.
Cook / Culinary Grade — Our 1kg bulk option, designed for professional use. Robust flavour, consistent depth, and natural green that holds up under heat. Ideal for matcha lattes, baked goods, ice cream, confectionery, and food manufacturing.

All Satoen Thailand products are officially certified and licensed by the Thai Food and Drug Administration (Thai FDA). Our FDA licence number is 10-3-18868-5.
